In reply to: Mike B. 's message, "Geez, who gives a crap...if you were out there catching speeders you'd maybe appreciate a dark colored car. Believe me, the Troops aren't too fond of the new "bright" colors." on 00:17:17 12/10/02 Tue

After reading about how the CHP among other agencies would prefer NOT to use amber flashers, at least after dark being that impaired drivers tend to home in towards the light source, I do have to agree with Mike B's assessment re: vehicle color not being a major issue.
What I have noticed though is that white lights on a vehicle, if anything, seem to 'repel'.........as in with the amber lights, I am 'drawn' towards them whereas with the white ones, I am 'pushed away' as in I try to stay clear.
My .02 cents worth here.

Did anyone stop to think that maybe someone at the OHP made an executive decision and just decided that white cars looked better in their opinion? Why does everyone try to overthink things all the time?11:11:53 12/10/02 Tue

"I am 'drawn' towards them"...Have you given any thought to changing your name to bughawke. (NT)Fumey Gator13:16:29 12/11/02 Wed
