We are one of the few services online who values our users' privacy, and have never sold your information. We have even fought hard to defend your privacy in legal cases; however, we've done it with almost no financial support -- paying out of pocket to continue providing the service. Due to the issues imposed on us by advertisers, we also stopped hosting most ads on the forums many years ago. We hope you appreciate our efforts.

In reply to: Tim 's message, "Don't agree with ads at all" on 19:30:37 11/13/02 Wed

"Just wait until an ad emblazoned squad car is involved in an accident while on a lights and siren response"

The liability that the company who is advertised on the squad would incur. I'd like to be able to sue Burger King because its advertising car crashed into my wifes car and killed her. It would be easier than suing the police dept
