Subject: What's the big deal with police cars? Why should I care?

First off, I'm into 60's and 70's muscle cars. Ford, Chevy, Mopars whatever. There has been lots of talk lately about the "latest crazy of the collecting police cars". I've been to three major car shows on the right coast and so far only ONE lame 1969 Ford police clone was to be seen. I've been told that most of you guys have your own "police car shows", why don't you ever show up at a regular show???

Here's the real question, aside from having heavy duty transmissions and suspension, what makes a vintage police car unique? And why should I care if I compare it to an Impala or a Charger?

Thanks,

Tristan
