In most cases, people collect things because the collector finds the things he or she collects interesting, apparently the way you find old "muscle cars" interesting.

If you don't like old police cars, you really don't have to care. There is arguably some historical value in collecting police cars, just as there is in collecting muscle cars. Because of collectors, we can trace the evolution -- or lack thereof -- of police vehicles from the first "special built" police models to the flammable Crown Vics we're stuck with today.

The Mustang and Camaro police cars should be of particular interest to you, as should the "Adam-12" style Plymouths, which were essentially 4 door Roadrunners. And the old Mopars with the 383's, 413's, and 440's are nothing if not "muscle cars" though not in fancy dress.

Visit here and try visiting a cop car collectors show near you some time. You might find out that you do care.
