In reply to: wayne 's message, "67 belaire" on 00:26:26 09/02/02 Mon

To be honest:
If I pick up this 1967 Belair I will put on a set of either OEM (if I can find a set) or repro 15"x6" or 7" wide Rallye wheels with the small 'police' center caps which ARE readily available as reproduction pieces.
Engine: either rebuild the 283 or simply swap in a Chevy 350 Goodwrench V8 with an HEI and Quadrajet carb, the latter was OEM on the 327 V8 family that year. OEM style dual exhausts complete with the resonators perhaps.
And, of course beef up the suspension to 'police' specs...........I doubt that a rear sway bar was available with anything below a 396 V8 that year.
In other words: a daily driver but with magnetic decals would be aeecptable at a car show.
No: I am NOT a 'BP' who needed to flaunt what he did not have lol
