In reply to: Even use green lightbars 's message, "I think I'll just drive my fire dept. car to shows... Or hey, lets do security company car replicas! Or I got it, howabout Park Ranger Patrol !" on 02:04:04 09/02/02 Mon

You have to be careful about park ranger cars, too. Not too far from our vacation home in PA, a stretch of US 209 from Milford to Bushkill runs though a "national recreation area" -- actually some land glommed onto by the Corps of Engineers during their dam-building frenzy years that was turned into a National Recreation Area because the "Corpse" wasn't allowed to build the planned Tock's Island Dam. Anyhoo -- US Park Service Rangers patrol that stretch of road and enforce the silly 45 mph speed limit on it fiercely, issuing federal speeding tickets to all and sundry. It's kind of the federal version of those southern "Speed Trap" towns we hear so much about.

So I guess replicating "park ranger" cars could get you in trouble, too.

I know the road well and use it often because I find it a pleasure to drive. I'm glad the rangers have stepped up enforcement.ford jockey but prefer Mopar11:46:28 09/03/02 Tue
