Subject: 2002 Emergency Vehicle Rally Update

Attention Rally Supporters and Contributors:

As you all know, we recently announced that the 2002 Route 66 Emergency Vehicle Rally stood a chance of being postponed unless additional funding was secured. After that initial announcement, we received calls from people interested in participating to help raise funds or provide free services to the group. We appreciate all the positive response and goodwill expressed by the group members and Route 66 community in general to our situation, but unfortunately, it was too little � too late. The large companies that were interested in contributing to the event, simply did not come through in time and our deadline for a decision is today.

Unfortunately, due to unresolved funding issues, this years rally dates have been postponed until sometime in 2003. We are still accepting donations and contributions of goods and services for the Route 66 Police/Fire Museum as well as the next rally, so keep spreading the word. I will keep your name on our list of interested persons for the next rally. You will receive an update via email when our next dates are confirmed.

Thanks for your interest and we are looking forward to seeing you soon on Route 66!
