Date Posted: 18:57:38 10/21/13 Mon In reply to: Grateful for the MKOT program 's message, "The production fee goes to renting The Center, hotel rooms, opening number outfit, the sound engineer and stage staff. I'm sure not everyone knows, MKOT is a fundraiser for Miss KY. MKOT does not get to keep money to help fund the pageant. It all comes from the girls' production fee, and people who generously volunteer their time. Where else do you suggest the money come from?" on 20:46:50 10/16/13 Wed It's a shame the MKOT girls sell ads only to give the money to the Miss program. There is absolutely zero incentive to sell those ads. They should split it or at least give a prize for the most sold something. But there is absolutely zero for selling them and that takes away any incentive to go out and sell them. [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |

| The teen program is a fundraiser and an opportunity for these girls to experience a similar opportunity to competing at a Miss level. There are costs involved with the teen pageant and ad sales do help cover those costs | and there are expenses to send the winner to nationals | 10:09:18 10/22/13 Tue |
