There was clearly a mistake made by the host of the show the announcer. Why didn't they just admit that and correct it right then. There is absolutely no way that Dakota beat Claire and Laura. The talent alone was enough. Personally I think the piece of paper she was handed had one name on it as in the last name or 4th runner up and they didn't hand her all ofthem. Why the announcer didn't say do we have runner up names or where are the rest before going on I don't know. Also perhaps they could have had a tie and gotten another crown? Something.
