Wapa TV transmitirá en directo este próximo domingo, 20 de diciembre, el certamen de belleza más importante del mundo, Miss Universe, donde Catalina Morales representará a Puerto Rico.
La transmisión de tres horas será presentada en vivo desde el Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino en Las Vegas a partir de las 8: 00 p.m.
Miss Universe es uno de los eventos más vistos alrededor del mundo, con distribución a cerca de 190 países y territorios.
Las participantes provenientes de más de 80 países competirán para convertirse en la siguiente Miss Universo, que será coronada por la actual reina, Paulina Vega de Colombia.
Catalina Morales partió a Las Vegas el pasado 1ro de diciembre y desde entonces ha deslumbrado con su belleza, inteligencia y simpatía.
¨Estamos muy orgullosos de contar con los derechos de transmisión de Miss Universe en Puerto Rico y esperamos que el pueblo se una esa noche para apoyar a Catalina, quien estamos seguros que hará una excelente representación de nuestra Isla¨, comentó Joe Ramos, presidente de Wapa Televisión.

Catalina marca la diferencia en Miss Universe

Catalina Morales Gómez, Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2015, marcó ayer la diferencia con su vestimenta en el evento de la cena de bienvenida a las 81 candidatas de Miss Universo 2015 en el Hotel Planet Hollywood en Las Vegas. Asimismo, lo hicieron las delegadas de Kosovo y República Dominicana.
La beldad local lució un vestido tipo 'jumpsuit' color anaranjado del diseñador puertorriqueño Juan Carlos Collazo y el cinturón del mismo fue confeccionado por Marcos Carrazana, quien fue el encargado de realizar el traje que llevará Catalina en la preliminar y final del certamen.
Morales Gómez fue escogida por varios conocedores de la moda como una de las candidatas mejores vestidas. Otras que fueron elogiadas por su 'outfit' fueron las participantes de: Venezuela, Jamaica, Paraguay, Francia, Tailandia, Canadá, República Dominicana, Perú y Estados Unidos.
La preliminar del concurso se llevará a cabo el 16 de diciembre y la final el domingo, 20 de diciembre. En este último evento, la colombiana Paulina Vega Dieppa coronará a su sucesora.

The 2015 Miss Universe annual pageant has officially began in Las Vegas. Contestants of the beauty pageant kickstarted the contest by taking part in the first official event, a pre-taping segment in which they showcased their talents for the final show.
The 2015 Miss Universe competition, currently in its 64th edition, will be the first edition of the pageant under its new owners, WME/IMG, who acquired the Miss Universe Organization from Donald Trump in September. The annual gala will be aired live from Planet Hollywood Resort in Las Vegas on 20 December at 7pm ET (12midnight BST) on Fox.
The three-hour event will conclude with the current Miss Universe Paulina Vega of Colombia crowning her successor. A total of 81 contestants are competing for the Diamonds International Corporation (DIC) crown and the coveted title.
The DIC crown, which was unveiled last year, is estimated at $300,000 (£200,140). Weighing 411g, the crown is encrusted with 311 small polished diamonds that weigh 10.37 karats.
The contest under Trump featured three rounds of competition, including swimsuit round, evening gown and the question-and-answer session. Under the new owners, some changes in the finale are anticipated.
"Miss Universe is a unique, global media property and this partnership with FOX marks a new era for The Miss Universe Organization as a whole," said Michael Antinoro, senior vice president of IMG. "As the broadcast leader in innovative and groundbreaking live events, FOX is the perfect partner as we look to implement new and exciting changes to this show and the franchise."
