Subject: Why did Rose Wilder move so far away?

I wonder why Rose Wilder moved so far away from her mother, and Rose moved to Connecticut. I read on another message board that Rose had a lot of problems with her mother. She said it was all Laura's (Rose's Mother) fault that they were poor. But I didn't think that they were too poor when I looked at some of the pictures of Laura's house when she was about 40-90. I wonder if Rose had a good house in Connecticut?
