Well, you won't have a view of the Pacific, but the few parts of Virginia I've been through were pretty. You might enjoy a visit to Williamsburg, where they've recreated part of the town to look as it did in the 17-1800's, and some of the houses really are from that era. We spent a couple days of our honeymoon there many, many years ago. :)
