Subject: What would you like to have seen Laura write about next?

I am very interested in the private life of L & A. There hasn't been enough written. Where is the National Enquirer when we need it?

It would have been great to have Laura's words on their life in Mansfield when Rose was growing up. They established the farm through many hardships, and it must have been interesting to be Rose's parents. Was she as melodramatic with them in real life as she was writing about her childhood later on?

I would have liked more about Laura too. She wrote so well about her own life, why ask for anything else but more of the same!!?

I would have liked her to write about Mansfield also. If she had known that FFY was going to be published, maybe she would have. I think she thought it was rather depressing for a children's book. Maybe she would have wanted her readers to know that she and Manly ended up doing well. She was obviously proud of what they had built. She wrote about their farm accomplishments quite a bit for the Ruralist.

I also would have liked her to write more about how their life in Mansfield and Rose growing up. I also wonder what her relationship was like with Almanzo's family, especailly Eliza Jane since they didn't get along when she taught Laura in school. Did Almanzo's family think Laura was too young for him or what? Did laura's family think Almanzo was too old for her? Didn't read about any of that.
