Subject: LHOP jumping the shark

"Jump The Shark" refers to an episode of Happy Days when Fonzie, on water skis, and wearing a leather jacket, jumped over a shark, the signaling the exact moment Happy Days started to go downhill.
When, to you, did the LHOP tv show "jump the shark"? ("Never" is an acceptable answer.)
For me, the skis were in the water when Albert first appeared, and the show really jumped the shark when Cassandra and her brother (can never remember his name) came on.

Thanks for the link! Albert wins (or is that loses?)! I thought there were a lot of funny replies. I like the one, "Carrie speaks more than 4 words," lol.

The episode was Sweet Sixteen. That was my favorite episode of the series. When Laura walks through the field to her first day of school as a school it gives me goosebumps. The music was great and pulled at your emotions. I loved it!

What ever happened to Albert? At the end of one episode, the narrator said that he returned years later to be the town doctor. Then a few epidodes later, he has a deadly blood disorder that is supposed to kill him, but it never says whether he died from it or not. I'm confused!

Although I liked Albert I would have to agree that the show jumped the shark at that point. The J & C year was horrible! It was an obvious attempt to give the writers new people to write about. It was a dude and a bigger mistake than Albert.

Hey, this is a good post. Ann, I know you didn't like my little Albert, lol, but I have to say that I thought that he did ok on the show, even though he never really existed in the real Lauras life.I don't feel that his character hurt the show at all. I would have to agree tho, that when James and Cassandra entered, it was just too much, but being the Little House on the Prairie TV show fan that I am, and because I was so smitten with Michael Landon, I never missed a show.
