Subject: Birthday Wishes for Laura

Birthday wishes to Laura for her birthday today! I especially think about her on this day. Wonder what she'd think of the world today and with all that's happening at the moment??

Happy Birthday wishes to Laura! If she knew what was happening today, she probably want to go back to the 19th century!

Yes, I think she would! Although we've said before how hard life was back then, in someways they must have been happier. Even with all the technology we have these days, better jobs etc. I don't think it always makes us any happier. People were definately kinder to each other, especially in the early part of the last century, I often think times are so cruel at the moment. Maybe I was born at the wrong time!

I think to that people nowadays are crueler to eachother than they were before, maybe. In sweden, there are two kind of people, city people and country people. that is of course not really true since all people are what they are not depending on where threy live. But country people are considered nicer. Country bussdrivers often say hello to the ones that ride his bus and he speaks to them and makes jokes. but citybus drivers don't talk or make any jokes, they are vey often angry and irritated with the citytraffic. I used to live in the city, and now I've moved far out in the country and I can see the difference. but people are more depending on eachother when they live so far away from the city. like sometimes the trains don't run, and once there was this lady that gave me and my mom and two others that I have never even spoken to before a lift into town. And she didn't even know us! so I think that before like in the 19th century especially in the countryside the poepole really depended on eachother, like...you can't and don't want to live at a place where you don't like anyone. And you could need a hand sometimes that was for sure so good neighbours was the key to a good living. And also I wanted to say happy birthday to laura. Her birthday is the day before my brothers his is on the 8th.

I definitely think that she would want to go back to the prairie days! I think she would be appalled right along with the rest of us about the goings on with Al Quaeda, and Suddam Hussein, and would be just as worried about biological and chemical warfare, as we are too. And just imagine.. our latest instructions are to make sure we have three days supply of water and food, and to have plastic and duct tape to cover our windows and vents and ducts.. how scarey is THAT! I think I'D, like to take a trip back to the prairie, myself!!

Here in the Uk it's all on the news about the Army going to Heathrow Airport in case of attacks on aircraft. It's very worrying as the enemmy is probably already in this country as we speak. A policeman was killed in Manchester by someone from another country and there was a murder here where I live, which came about from a fight with a couple of Asylum seekers, one being fatally injured. It's a very scary world at the moment! speaking of being scared I was just walking home from having a massage (for neck problems I've been having) last night and it was only about 7.15pm but dark by then, well some young people came upto me and I just ignored them but they said something and threatened me verbally, they through something but I was out of the way by then, I quickly walked home as soon as I could and I won't be walking home on my own again!!
