Subject: Job

WE've just had some bad news last friday as my husband has found out he is to be made redundant, we were warned there were jobs to go and I had this bad feeling this time that he would be one of them. He's been there for 10 years and was made redundant from his last job after about the same time. I'm trying to be positive but it's not easy. I only work 3 days but I might be able to work an extra day for a while. I don't think it's dawned on him yet, but he is going to get his CV together and start looking. I didn't think it would happen again, well it's happening a lot around here lately.

So sorry to hear that, Valerie. Hope he can find another job quickly! The employment situation here in Oregon is pretty bad. My daughter just finished up some post-baccaluarte work at the univerity and is job hunting, but there are few openings.

He has had one interview and has applied for three jobs, but after looking on a web site he has become quite depressed as there are jobs but the pay is so low! he has joing a couple of agencies and they are looking at the moment. We are trying to be optomistic but it's not easy.
Thanks for your reply.

Valerie

My husband has, over the years, been made redundant 3 times, and me once. It is never easy and it is very stressful at the time, but each time, when it was all over, I think we actually came away from it better than when we started, so keep optimistic.
