The 1940's House? What was that like? Was it just one family? Did anyone go off to "work" each day? Was someone off at "war?" I'd love to hear about it.

It was one family. They were blasted with air raid sirens at night and had to sleep in the shelter for many nights, going back to the house in the morning to find things like broken windows, thick dust, things knocked over etc. They had to live on ration books and observe blackout etc. Of course it wasn't quite the same as they knew they wouldn't get killed, but they were all fed up with the sleep deprivation, endless shopping to get whatever food was available etc. They had jobs similar to those they would have had during the war. It was very interesting.

Wish I'd seen it. It sounds as if it must have been pretty interesting.
