Subject: WAY WAY OT but funny story

Okay, I was reading this article in the newspaper about all these fish in Greece that they think were picked up by a storm and brought in because the fish weren't indigenous to the area. It reminded me of my own fish story so I thought I'd just share for a good laugh. When we lived in Pensacola we went fishing one night and I caught this big ole fish (I can't quite remember but he was about 10 pounds). He was really scary looking and his front teeth bucked out like a beaver! Anyway, we were on the beach and everyone around came up to look at this darn fish. NO ONE knew what the heck it was! LOL!!!! There was even this old guy who said he knew "all the fish in the world" and had never seen anything like this. Anyway, we kept the fish on ice and took it to the University of West Florida (the old guy had a friend who worked there and said if anyone could identify it he could). Come to find out the fist is only found off the Ivory Coast of Africa!!! Best they could figure this fish got caught up in a hurricane (well a storm which developed into a hurricane) and came across the ITCZ (inter-tropical convergence zone) with the storm and blew on it to Pensacola!! LOL!!!!! Leave it to ME to get an African fish

Maybe it was a pioneer fish looking for a better way of life, lol!

Wow, that was a neat story Jennifer!... What a long way for a storm to blow a fish, eh?? Amazing!
