Does it say "woman" on the sash. I know this might be petty, but it really does make a difference when making appearances. 's message,

The pageant looks like it will be a fabulous event. I do have one question. I noticed there is a "woman" category for 40+. Is there any chance you'll be changing that title? I love the idea of an older division, but that "Woman" title is just weird. All those add-ons like "classic, elite, woman, lady" etc. are odd and need explaining to non-pageant folks. I've won a national title before with that on the sash and people were like What the heck does that mean? It was uncomfortable trying to come up with an answer that didn't involve, I'm just older...

Do you have any suggestions as to what the title should be? I would be happy to change the title to something which would make contestants feel more at ease! (

Maybe Royal Mrs. World Universal with royal in small letters or something like that.... if there is a pre-fix or an add-on, keep it small and simple.. with a word like royal, there really is no explaining necessary... (

this pageant looks great and I'm looking forward to hearing more about it!

I'll think about it and see what I can come up with. I had never heard anyone say they didn't like the "woman" at the end of the title....but, I don't come here very often. It's good to know what contestants like and what they don't! Thanks for letting me know. (

Ms World Universal Woman (Woman at the top or bottom) sounds fine to me, having been a Nat'l and Int'l titleholder, i've had the opportunity to hold such a name, and was very proud, and for the times that I did have to explain the title, I found it a pleasure to explain what Woman meant, and furthermore was able to inspire women who thought that there wasn't such a thing and found it to be very cool, so my vote (if there was one) is to keep Woman! now Lady is the one that I don't like (another system/s) (

The sash says "Ms. World Universal Woman". That's how I've had it since I began the pageant. I can't use "royal, elite" or other titles like this because it makes it sound like it's the top honor and it's just equal to all of the other titles except my ambassador and lifetime queen. I really haven't received any ideas that I could use instead of Ms. Woman. If you come up with one, please email me at brackensavvy@yahoo.com and you could win $100.00 off your entry fee!!!! (

I think "Ms. World Universal Woman" sounds great, it covers everyone 40+ in an equal and universal way just like the other titles. (

Except that married women 40+ don't want to be Ms. I'm proud of being over 40 and I'm proud of being married for 20+ years and don't want to be labeled Ms. I agree with the other posters that the "woman" on the end is odd. Of course I'm a woman, do I really need it added to a title? This pageant does sound fun, but the great thing is that there are are pageants for everyone and being labeled a Ms. Woman is just not for me. (

Well that is certainly understandable, and maybe that is something the director might consider, and that is to have a Mrs. division, there are several pageants that forget about Ms all together and skip right into Mrs, my statement was truly just speaking about those of us who have not had the opportunity to be blessed in holy matrimony, at least I thought that's what we were talking about. The Mrs. category ends at 39, thus the Ms. Woman for any woman 40 and up. Great concept and love that older women are included regardless of their marital status, but the age limit for married women is quite young. But then again, there are married women over 40 who freak out at the thought of competing against married women 21 and up so it's a toss up as to how to handle it. Either way, I think this pageant sounds great and I thank the Director for listening to everyone's opinions. We're all competitors, married or ms. over 40 or under and we all want a great event and title we can be proud to represent. I'm hoping to join the Universal family in 2013. (

What does the state crown and sash look like? (

The sash is gorgeous! It's trimmed in silver with white on the inside and black lettering with rhinestone banding. The state crown is ab stones...very pretty and the international crown will be revealed on Sept 29th. It's a new crown....befitting an international queen. I will say that if you visit the facebook page and look at the crowns there, you will see it...you just won't know which one it is until Sept. Also, the next 10 ladies who makes their deposits of $100.00 will receive a special promotion of a total entry fee of only $200.00. Make sure you reserve your state/country title today! This offer ends on August 17th!!! You'll love the new crown! Trust me!!!! :) (

The state sash doesn't have the rhinestone banding...sorry, that's for the international winners. Here's a photo of one of my queens with her sash. The crown is changing.
