Subject: Lovely comment above. I am in complete agreement. I, too, compete often, and have been a victim of slander and nasty bashing. I don't know why, unless there is jealousy or some other agenda. I adore pageants, adore the friends I"ve made. click

In reply to: Just my experience 's message, "It seems to me boards began as a helpful way to get info. Click in..." on 22:12:35 10/13/12 Sat

I have grown over the years because of this, whether it be confidence, great interviews, making solid volunteer connections or charity work - but the darkness on these boards is downright sad and frightening. I love to learn things from these boards, regarding dates, upcoming events, kudos to friends, just great news - but most come on here to intimidate or hurt. It's sad because the older I get, the more I realize the head games these are, and so I avoid the voys. They are toxic waste any more, but I keep looking in hopes that something new is announced, or some vital piece of info appears. I used to enjoy sharing my thoughts on pageants, getting thoughts from others, and talking about the actual system, what to wear, how to approach it, and so on, but any more, it's about attacking someone directly. When you bash someone, you had better know all the facts and not just throw some nasty comment into the pool. No one knows anyone well enough to make an accusation. So, before you sling out the hate, imagine how it would feel if someone did it to YOU. If you don't care, then I pity you, and I hope we never cross paths. I dont' care to be around anyone who is that self centered or needs medication. And thank you to the ladies that have changed my life for the better. That is what I have taken away from pageantry, not the negative stuff that continues to excite so many of you. To the good ladies, may you win and prevail.
