Lightning-slashed shadow darts forward, matte black claws and unusually pink pawpads thumping against rock-like tree bark as the male bounds from trunk to trunk, running only a few feet above the root-ridden ground. Bounding forward with a feral grin on his scruffy muzzle, Miteli tests his agility by increasing his speed, seeing how fast he can go before he smashes head-first into a tree trunk wider than he is long. The dark-eyed male manages about five minutes of this touch-and-go dodging before his right hindpaw -the one missing half of the middle toe- slips into a fissure in the bark and he crashes, well-built frame tumbling a few feet before connecting hard with the next tree flank-first at an estimated speed of fifty mph.

For a long moment, the male lies still, breathing shallowly and painfully. Then, deep sapphire eyes open and a grin tugs at his tar-black muzzle, "Well that was fun." Careful of bruised, thankfully unbroken bones, Miteli picks himself up and settles in a more comfortable sitting position, trying to catch his breath and ignore the ache in his right flank.
