A thunderous roar rips from the massive golden Korat, his mind reeling with the scent of blood that seemed to surround and choke him. It was strange, almost as if he was watching himself as he fought onwards, and his mind made commentary about the horrors that his heart no longer felt. His opponent, the red, was thundering towards him and nowleaping. The creature's eyes were wide, a return noise echoing within Ewyna's ears as long-claws aimed straight for the striped's flank, his blade sliced forward through the air towards the striped's neck. Ewyna was too large to dodge a full-frontal, and time was too short to fall back and parry. That outer-roar resounded again, but Ewyna forced it into himself this time, refused to think, and in that moment was one with himself. Again came his scream, this time from his soul as the sound of his comrades falling to the dirt behind him pummeled what was left of his spirit. All walls fell, and he tensed his powerful haunches to fling himself upwards in the manner of a tan. Ewyna collided mid-air with the startled red, who had not expected such an un-characteristic mood from a pacifistic philosophe, and both fell to the ground in a bloody tangle of blades and claws, snarling and raging without mind or thought.

Elis' opponent was far less interested in death however, having watched her comrads fall to the ground in pools of their own gore. She was suddenly aware of Eciwis' voice in the back of her skull. Calling for peace. Calling for finality.

The black turned and ran.

Brown eyes narrowed and settled on her hind-quarters, words ripping from his maw before he knew that he was chasing her, "YOU CANNOT ESCAPE ME!"

He was aware that he was leaping, but forgot himself again as his jaws found flesh in the back of her neck, and she was rolling and thrashing, her broad tail nearly snapping his thinner legs as she bucked and kicked beneath him. He tasted blood and let go in that instant, shoving off with hind-claws that slashed and penetrated her back, gaping holes on either side of her spine. The black writhed and turned, her blue eyes settling on the striped... before staggering to her feet... and running once again.

Elis let her go, the acidic taste within his mouth strangely sickening as his mentality returned.

Ewyna was still lost within the battle however, each movement of jaw and tail instinctual as the Korats rolled, claws locked in a death-grip. New wounds formed on the flanks of both Korats, blood spattering as frustration rose and the fury of both males drove them further into their blood-insanity. Then suddenly, Ewyna felt the ache in his bones return, and his mind leapt free from it's chains. He looked up to see the red's jaws flying forwards once again, and ignored the dying urge to immediately strike back. Instead, he waited those few precious seconds before he made his return move... Not meeting teeth with teeth, but allowing the red to clamp down upon his thickly furred throat... before his teeth clenched tightly across the red's broad muzzle, and the striped unfurled his neck with all the muscle he had.

The upper half of the red's face went with him, a choking scream ripping from the sucking wound that was once a Koratian skull. The red's body went limp, his carcass falling to the side, brain matter oozing out amongst the rush of blood. Ewyna recurled his neck... and then retched and tried to pull himself away, but found himself still entangled within the red's claws. Wrinkling his nose, he looks away as his tail smashes down upon each of the red's legs, breaking bones and tendons... and freeing himself. Nausea returning, he forces his aching body up the side of the tree, and limps over a few branches to Miteli and Ajiki. His eyes first look to the rise and fall of their chest, as well as the faint heartbeats he can barely make out behind the drum within his own chest.

Elis joins him quietly... particularly careful not to step in the gore of the fallen duo. His voice is quiet, "They'll be alright Ewyna. And I think they're not too wounded to be moved. The tan.."

"Kemeru."

"As she's not here, we should assume she's conscious. But we definitely need to find her before we move these two. I don't want to offend anyone."

Ewyna nodded in silence, and looked to the branches above, trying to scent what he remembered of the tan in that brief visit... but with all the blood... it was more difficult then he'd guessed. Well, it couldn't hurt to just try to call her by name...

"Kemeru!?"
