Hi Ivy,

Sorry I haven't responded lately. I've been busy getting ready for school & going to soccer practice. We start school next Monday.

I play outfield and pitch in softball. I do ok at both but I prefer pitching. What position do you play? I never thought about playing baseball. I used to when I was little but I switched to softball when I was 11.

I hope you can post here more often. There is another girl named Lucy here now. We have to keep these boys from taking over! LOL! Nice talking to you.

Hi Taylor,

Sorry I haven't responded in a while. My first day of school was the 20th and I'm still transitioning towards 8th grade. I have all honors classes and I'm trying to adapt towards the different teachers - from clean and sanitary to more lax teachers. It doesn't help that it just so happens that my state is changing their curriculum, lunch program, and everything else on us. Anyways, it's been hectic. I've been a student at this school before, but not like this.

You're really lucky that your school starts next Monday. But, then your school probably ends later, right?

It's cool that you play soccer. Is your school team any good? I'm very clumsy, so I could never play soccer. But I like to watch it. I used to play catcher in softball. In baseball, I play catcher and pitcher, and sometimes I switch out with the center fielder.

I want to post more often, but this year is turning out to be full of assignments, quizzes, tests, and etc. I already had a quiz today (aced it) over the rules of the class. Now, I have to type a two-page essay by tomorrow. Anyways, I now need to finish typing it.

Hello Ivy,

It's good to hear from you again! Sorry I haven't been here myself the last few days. I got in trouble yesterday and didn't feel like getting on the internet or doing much of anything. I spent most of my time in my room. That was mostly by choice.

I got spanked with my mom's hairbrush because I left Kevin & Shannon alone while I went across the street to see my friends new clothes. Mom had gone out to run some errands & Sean wasn't home so I got to be the sitter. Well mom got home before I did. I totally get that I messed up but I didn't think I deserved a spanking. So I just stayed in my room mostly since then. I'm not mad at my mom just upset that I got spanked.

We start school Monday & I'm looking forward to it. I usually do pretty good at school & I like most of our teachers. How is school going for you so far? I've never gone to public school so I have no idea what it's like. I heard it can pretty chaotic.

Our soccer team is pretty good. I don't know if we will win any championships but we'll win some games. I have fun at it though. I'm also taking up the violin again. I started practicing again this week. I need a lot more practice.

I know we will be busy with school stuff & all that but let's stay in touch ok? I think this is a nice place to come and talk to other people. Bye!

Hi Taylor,

Sorry to hear you got spanked. Hope it wasn't too bad. I'm the younger sibling who burns Ramen noodles, so nobody trusts me with anything babysitting related.

Cool that you start school on Monday. But it probably means your school ends later than mine? My school is doing great. We're the largest public school in our area, with over 160 students in 8th grade, so it's a little chaotic. Nothing like the stereotypes because we all get along like a large extended family, but it does get cramped. I thought it would be hard with a quiz every other day, but it gets predictable.

Sorry for rambling, anyways, what position do you play in soccer? I hope your team has a good season. It's cool that you play the violin. I would never have the patience, even though I love classical music. Doesn't it get tiring, though, with your arms in the air and resisting gravity and all? Hope you have fun with it.

I hope we keep in touch, too. Good luck on Monday and don't get a detention on the first day of school like I did, but that's another story. ;)
