You wrote "Veata," Ivy, but since we all asked you, we think you meant to say, "Veatem?" In that case, our response is, "Anu be'seder."
Anyhow, last year most of us had 5 hours of homework each night. This year, we are down to about 1.5 hours, so we are ENJOYING LIFE!!! When I take Calculus in two years, I will sit with all the college students, Ivy. I will use the same book, take all the exams that they take as well. I think I will even get a Report Card from that "school." I may be able to get a ride on my school's van to get to my class, or else I will take a city bus! I think that would be kind of fun, really! I already finished Advanced Algebra I & II. This year I am taking Analytic Geometry and Trigonometry. Man, is it FUN!!! But, then again, all math is fun to me. I think I will take Finite Math next year for half the year but I don't know what I will take after that.
Yes, I suppose that it does suck that we don't have sports at our school, but we are such a small school that I don't even know if we'd be able to have teams, Ivy. After all, a lot of students choose not to play a sport, so we might not even be able to make up a team in many cases. And, since we are already associated with a university, I think we do have a pretty good sense of school pride here. So, what sport would we play if we did have sports here? This kind of stumped a bunch of us, because we hadn't thought about it! Okay, here's what we came up with; Levi- baseball, Avraham- football, Joseph- soccer, Yitzchak- football, Adam- baseball, Yaakov- football.
We have one class of say, French three days one week- Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and during that week, the Spanish classes (longer than the ones held each of the three days per week) are done on Tuesday and Thursday. The next week, they alternate with each other. Yes, I guess we do have an immersion technique here at home; we just are so used to it that we don't think about it, really. We are sort of familiar with Russian, a little bit, that is. Our Dad has a Rabbi from Russia who is his best friend. He has one son who is the same age as the twins. And, the Rabbi's family speaks Russian at home. We play at the Rabbi's house, and they have Shabbas dinner with us sometimes. So, we have sort of learned a little Russian, Ivy. But, we won't burden you with any of that here!
Thanks again for the New Year's wishes! Keep on "cracking those books" (This is Dad's favorite expression!), and good luck in the sports!
