I was wondering in your family if you're required to get good grades or just do your best. To me getting good grades is easy. I have a great memory and don't have to study much for tests. My 9 year old brother has to work hard to get good grades. We don't get in trouble if our parents know we tried our best. If we get a bad grade cause we were lazy then we do.

My parents always want my sister and me to do the best that we can, but that means we should make good grades. Like you, we only get in trouble if we were lazy. However, I remember distinctly one year when I wanted to prove a point that I could make bad grades and I got a C in every subject. Then, I got in trouble for being too stubborn, not being lazy.

Both of our parents have graduate degrees, and they emphasize to us that we need to use the God-given talents (in other words, our "giftedness") to the max. That is why they send us to a special private school that is so expensive. We know our parents want us to do as well as possible in school, and we are lucky that we love to learn, and it is even FUN for us to do that at our school!
