I didn't plan to skip school, but this guy named Roman asked me if I wanted to go to an all day alternative rock concert. I thought it would be during the weekend, so I said yes. On Friday, though, he came up to me before school (we were waiting for school to officially begin) and asked me when I wanted to leave. He told me that it was today and to go we had to skip school. I don't know why I did it, but I decided to skip school for it. At the end of the school day, I remembered that I left my camera there, which I needed for the weekend, so we tried to sneak back on campus. However, my parents and the principal were searching through my locker to find out where I was and his parents were nearby. We ended up having an all day detention and an after school detention. It's basically just writing lines.

My mom decided to use a belt this time and I got 15 licks. It was completely worth it, though, and the concert was amazing.

Sorry you got 15 licks with the belt, Ivy! I bet it hurt bad! We would have cried for sure!

I asked my Dad if I could skip school some day. He never answered me; he just gave me "the look." When that happened, I knew it was best to drop the subject! But, I even heard my Dad saying that he skipped school once; he even forged a note from his Mom- our Grandmother!
