Subject: Going Away for a Month Author: Levi [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 18:51:02 07/21/12 Sat me and my brothers; Avraham, Jospeh, Yitzchak, and Adam are going to be gone for a month. We are going to summer camp in Maine. They have all the sports, plus swimming, fishing, sailboats, kayaks, hiking and even camping in tents. Most of the kids come back year after year so I know lots of them. This will be the first time for Adam who is 7 years-old. It's also the first time we are going up in the bus. I will be forwarding them posts from here, and they can respond back with emails to me. I will just type in their replies and keep them up to date with emails of the threads here. My boys were all upset when they realized they would miss out on being able to post here while away at camp. Now, they don't need to be upset. Their camp has computer stations for email. They are very busy every day with activities and sports and things to do. The kids who have been to camp before have other kids they know and are already friends with, and my seven year-older, Adam, is having fun with the kids in his cabin. They like the water activities best, although the baseball, volleyball and basketball are fun, too. And Adam is having fun in Arts and Crafts doing mosaic things. [ Post a Reply to This Message ]

The boys were all excited about going away to camp, until they realized that they were going to miss out on what was happening at the two forums where they participate. When they were so saddened by the fact that they wouldn't be able to post, I figured I could play the in-between guy, and make them happy. Believe it or not, Sean, no parent likes making his child unhappy for any reason. If we do that, you can be pretty darned sure that there is a reason for it. So, if I do spank my child, it isn't because I like to see him cry. (I hate it, actually.) It's because I would rather my boy cry now instead of later in life when he has to pay a lot bigger penalty than a spanking. In any case, the boys are having a super time at camp. It is the same camp I went to when I was their age! As for you saying that they are a great bunch of kids, Sean, I was thinking the very same thing about you, and your brothers and sister. I know we got good parents and they do their best for us. I know they don't spank me cause they want to but becuase they are trying to teach me to do better. Somtimes I feel bad cause I messed up and disappointed tem and I earned a spanking. They always hug us after we get spanked and they tell us they love us and i know they do.
