If my kids have earned one, I generally call it a spanking as well, Caleb. I suppose when and if the time comes that I am using a paddle, I would call it a paddling.

We just call it a spanking or paddling or sometimes we just say we are going to get it. Like when my mom says you are going to get it that usually means you're getting spanked. sometimes she says you're getting your bottom warmed.

My grandpa says going to the woodshed. i guess that's where he had to go for his spankings when he was a kid.
