Subject: I know it's easy for me to say as someone not competing, but I wish all the girls in the 2026 class would band together and boycott the pageant if the reigning queen is allowed to give up her crown like nothing happened. Again, I know it's easy for me to say and these girls have worked and sacrificed so much to compete, but standing up for what's right and what's just, while hard, is worth so much more. This would only work if they ALL boycotted and all stood on the principle that this is NOT what this organization is about. An organization that empowers women doesn't look the other way when a woman bullies and threatens her way to the crown. They don't just go on as if nothing happened. There have to be consequences for bad actions and showing up on stage and pretending it's business as usual only emboldens other girls to bully their way to the top. This is not ok

That's one of the overriding problems with this organization. They refuse to band together and fight as a united group. Had they done that back when Gretchen was pulling her message, she would not have been successful in derailing the program. State directors put their own personal agendas in front of doing what was right. Many chose to play "Teacher's Pet" to the detriment of the long time goals and traditions of the pageant. That's why we are where we are. Just another event held in Orlando, Fl instead of the iconic American institution that we used to be. (NT)No name
