Besides sobbing after my state interview not because I felt I did terrible but because I was feeling like a couple judges were being homophobic about me having gay parents, while chatting with the other girls and some judges during the reception one judge told me I “would’ve had a better interview if I hadn’t brought up my moms lifestyle.”

I'm really sorry that happened to you... it's mortifying, and even more mortifying to hear that the judge doubled down. I hope you mentioned to the local / state director; at the end of the day, they don't really know what they're going to get when they choose judges - and hopefully they'd make moves to ban that judge in the future.
