Subject: ...(cont) If there's a result in a pageant that you don't understand, it's extremely silly to look to a conspiracy theory to explain the results instead of just - you know - tacitly accepting the reality that all adults should understand in order to navigate the world responsibly... that some people just have different opinions than you do.

In reply to: Pageant Statistician (I know I'm going in hard here, but I'm at my wits end with this lol) 's message, "I really should protect my peace lol, but I truly am getting so irritated with conspiracy theories like this. Do I think there are likely pageants out there that have less-than-stellar judging procedures (like allowing a state director to sit in on judges' meetings and contribute to conversation), sure! There are bad actors in all industries and all programs. But there is no evidence that pageants in general are corrupt. First of all, why on Earth would they be? What acounting firm is going to put their reputation on the line just to fix the outcome of a pageant? Literally what would there incentive be? And in this case, who on gods green Earth would care if both of these women made the Top 10? If they did, how would it have effected *anyone* negatively, much less *so* negatively that they would take steps to commandeer the auditing process to fudge the results. Please tell me one reason why anyone would care that much. This is pageantry, this is not a presidential election..." on 19:28:09 04/19/26 Sun

You seem to get so bent out of shape and exasperated when people ask questions or express their opinions, maybe all those stats are beginning to get to you, Pageant Statistician. Perhaps you should just up your blood pressure medication and have a seat. Like you said....it's just a pageant. Nothing to get upset about. (NT)No name

I totally disagree with you. It is due to corruption that beauty pageants are falling out of favor. There are many directors who want a winner to have rich parents. This way the director does not have to give out much cash preparing a contestant for state. I know several states where, "friend of a friend" becomes a winner. The shadiness is out there. Denying it makes it continue. (NT)Pageant Fan
