Subject: She was the only decent talent in that top 13. And then when she was announced as the overall interview winner (why do state paeants announce that on stage?) it was quite obvious she was the winner. Plus her gown was perfection.

Just a quick report. Miss Arlington, Madison Whitbeck, did win. She has been a double preliminary winner I was told. Roanoke Valley, Loudoun County, Central Virginia, and Apple Blossom rounded out the top five. Those who know the contestants better than I do can fill in more details. Teen winner was Commonwealth and first runner-up was Arlington. Show ran over 4 hours but it was well-produced and did not have any major gaffes or awkward pauses.     Apple Blossom is 18/19 and this was her first year in MAO. No surprise she made Top 5 she was considered a front-runner from the jump. If she comes back next year or the following, especially with team Arlington, she will win. (NT)No name
