Subject: Why are you attacking Lauren Norris here? That is not what this post was about and also NY did not crown her as you say she was originally the 3rd runner up so your point there is invalid. Also have you thought about how this was her profession that has paid her bills since before she ever thought about MAO? Despite NY having nothing for her to do, she has to continue making her living. She seems to post what she can about MAO. Subject Author Date I'm not criticizing Lauren. I'm saying the NY Org (and MAO) missed an opportunity with Lauren. NY had the girl who won Miss A and the crown went to a professional influencer. If the Org had hired a professional PR firm, the first thing they would have said was that Lauren should be producing about 10X more content about the MAO, even if she has to start a new channel to do it (like the Miss NY official instagram). Lauren could have literally vlogged her entire year, each video ending with "here's how you can compete." Instead, it's spring cleaning videos. I get that Lauren has a channel to pay her bills. But 10 years ago, Miss States took on the role of Miss State as a full-time job. And with Lauren's experience, there's no reason at all that she couldn't do the same -- speaking engagements, schools, performing her talent, traveling the state. She could have grown her own channel or created a new one to show off what being Miss State is really about.
