In reply to: Seems fishy 's message, "Kim greenwood resigns from Miss USA less than 24 hours after her weekend retreat?" on 18:23:41 08/13/25 Wed

Facts are facts — what has she actually done wrong? In many industries, signing an NDA is standard practice. While pageantry is emotionally driven, so are countless other businesses, and confidentiality is part of maintaining professionalism.

Could it be that the loudest critics are simply reacting to change? Change is uncomfortable, especially in a tradition-rich industry like pageantry.

The reality is, Miss USA no longer carries the money or influence it once did. That’s not Laylah’s fault — it’s the result of shifting societal views on pageantry as a whole. Today’s media landscape doesn’t see high ratings or big sponsorship value in women being judged in gowns, crowns, and heels. Producers find it a hard sell for television, and unfortunately, that’s a tough truth for fans to accept.

She’s created a hostile environment. She does little to support her titleholders (Alma was in her own for Miss Universe last year). I don’t think it’s a coincidence that she’s had 2 titleholders resign (the first time ever a Miss USA or Teen USA has done that) and had many long time state directors step down. Delegates last year complained about the production. And so far there’s no date or location announced for Miss USA/Teen USA. (NT)No name
