Subject: If It were me and I still had a few years to compete, I would take the title, find out who I needed to suck up to on the state board, then ingratiate myself to everyone else on the board. For the few months remaining on the term I would be everywhere, kissing babies, shaking hands, they would be so sorry to see me go that when I competed again it would be a foregone conclusion that I would win. Plus you never know who is going to be in any given year's class - some newbie might come along and win on her first try.
