Subject Author Date Objective outside opinion from AL—Kate is a stronger overall package than Hanley. Hanley is a nice looking, talented girl with great stage presence. However, she comes across as fairly subdued and is not a compelling speaker. Again, she’s a solid competitor and she deserved her win, but she was not as consistent across the board as many teen winners have been before. I have not seen the current NC teen talent, but I have followed her a bit on social media and watched her engage the public. In addition to being absolutely beautiful, she is well-spoken and warm. Her personality shines through. As long as her talent is decent, she will go far. This current class of teens is incredibly competitive, so you never know, but I would take Kate over Hanley head to head.
