Just a thought - talent is worth 20%, exactly the same weight as each of gown and fitness - if someone excelled last night in both and had a strong interview (remember same judges for all of that) with a fair talent, she will likely make it in the 10. Last year 5 of the 6 preliminary night winners made it to finals but only 1 of the talent winners did. My thoughts for top 10 were not affected by tonight, top 5, I have an additional bubble. Talent is not really talent! It is judged on being dynamic and memorable. It is just about how the girl presents herself on stage. And since this new owner has come in —talent has taken a back seat plus it is now all on a separate night. Maryland is my favorite to win. Swap her out with DC or IL's evening gown and she would look like a Miss Universe contestant. She was wonderful weds night and I loved her HerStory too that's a story the many resonate with and a proAmerica immigrant story is a good balance for everyone as the face of Miss America.
