Listen, I have nothing against 4H. It's a fine platform. But if the national organization doesn't want to align with 4H, then the girl tying herself up in it is to her detriment. I would say the same if a girl was doing PETA as her platform or National Center for Missing and Exploited Children or National Stroke Foundation or whatever. If Robyn doesn't see the Miss America brand aligning with that particular organization, then it will impact the girl's scores in every single phase of competition if she is about nothing else except her platform. They need to remember the GIRL, not just the platform. It's like in gown. If your dress is wearing you, you're not going to score well. If your platform defines who you are as a person to the point that when they see you in every phase of competition, all they think of is your platform, you're unlikely to do well overall -- Pageant Guru Message Board
