I’m seeing a lot of people favor certain states, and I get why on the surface. But this isn’t Miss USA… Miss America should be beautiful, but this role is about so much more than that.

So, when considering your favorites, the real questions are:

What do we actually know about her CSI? what has she done with it?

What are five impressive, tangible things she has done with her state title that prove she’s prepared — and deserves — to be Miss America?

Is she a finalist for any major awards like Quality of Life, or for fundraising?

Has she built a strong social media presence and consistently promoted her platform?

If she doesn’t leave Orlando as Miss America, will she continue fulfilling the job back in her state for the rest of the year?

Would she actually be a strong national representative — someone the organization, sponsors, and media could confidently stand behind for a year?

What does she bring to the table to actually elevate the Miss America brand?

As the state titleholder, was she a true go-getter — or just going through the motions of doing the appearances planned for her?

And the biggest question: does she truly love Miss America, and has she prepared and proven she deserves the title — or is this just about being in the right place at the right time?

I can see why some favorites could make the Top 10. But after watching North Carolina win Teen last night, I’m expecting a full package winner for Miss tonight. My eyes are on Texas.

Sadly, I'm not so sure it is "so much more" any longer.
