It is still early in the season. Many girls with more natural beauty will be crowned. Just because a few first states have that it doesn’t mean that will be the trend. Also pretty sure most women in top five last year have at least something done. Big or small. Let’s be real. Regardless it is their choice and that is that. I think this is more of an issue for Miss USA and Miss Universe, versus MAO. If you go back and look at old USA/Universe videos on Youtube, winners before 2005 were more of the beautiful girl next door. But over the past 20 years, the finals look like a Cosmetic Surgery festival. (NT) No name

I do not think affording it is the concern. Women should not feel as though they NEED to get plastic surgery or other cosmetics procedures in order to be competitive, especially when relatability is such a key pillar in pageantry. Completely agree. Lost interest in Miss Universe/ USA because they all remind me of Barbie dolls in their boxes lined up on a toy store shelf. They don't even look like real people. The standards are quite low for them to be selecting girls to represent states with clear plastic surgery. And a director who is being sued left and right and he has a questionable past and makes impulsive decisions for someone in charge of a large org. Standards are high? The only standard is whether you can afford to have the surgeries they require. Anyone with a buck can look like that.
