She was crowned in Sept. 1976. Now its her and Gretchen (1989) as the only Minnesota MAO winners.

By the way, you were not the only one in tears when watching BeBe walk on the Miss America stage---with the aid of a daughter and two-time Miss America nationals pageant judge Vernon DeSear who ran the Florida West Coast Symphony for several years.
