Subject: It's hard for reasonable people to understand! This is always brought up by people who were born, have lived, and will die in the same place. The thought of a woman leaving to chart her own path somewhere is incomprehensible for them, so they assume she's 'state-hopping' vs. just living her life to the fullest and having cool experiences in multiple places. In this way, it always makes me sad when people bring it up, because they're just outing themselves as having lived boring lives.

In reply to: 's message, "I competed in the state I went to college in, not my home state. I lived on campus for four years, I was registered to vote there, and did vote regularly. My driver's license was issued there. I paid that state's taxes when I worked there. I felt like a resident; because I lived there nine months of each year, as well as two full summers. I invested in the local community's volunteer opportunities. I followed the local and state news stories. My home state did not feel like home anymore. I basically visited my family, that was all. I had moved on. This young woman intended to attend medical school in Alabama after this summer had she not won the state title. What is the issue?" on 19:11:46 06/08/26 Mon
