Without looking it up, I can't remember who the competition was in those three years but I too remember being surprised at all three winners. So it probably had to be interview and preparation. I was probably most surprised by Kira's win...in fact one detail I DO remember is that I sat there and made my own top five when the time came and I picked the exact OTHER five to make the cut. -- Pageant Guru Message Board

I did this Shawntell Smiths year. I did not get a single top 5 right, not one. Miss Oregon at 1st runner up...good god no. I had the entire 5 semifinalist, as my top 5. KRAZY. Same for me Shawntell's year, as I had the bottom semifinalists as the top 5. I was there for prelims, and those weren't the 10 I would have chosen as semifinalists.
