Sol- They'll have to, eventually....

~+~*She tilted her head to one side, as if in thought and then the snake form of her body melted away into a pair of legs wrapped in a black and white skirt that dropped to her knees and was open on one side. With more freedom to move about, she gingerly took a seat at an open chair near the largest group of people.*~+~

You probably know that Dragon Keepers were, and still are, a very limited race in the sense that there were never very many of them. Races that never grow very large are a bit different from those that have their own planet or that can be found anywhere.

Keolians, Outer Rirenians, Jurians, Star Elves.... All of them are, like the Dragon Keeper peoples, linked directly to the land that they have claimed as their own.

Larger races, such as the elves formerly of Morwin, have larger numbers and thus will not hesitate to abandon their lands and break all ties to it in order to preserve the lives of their people. Smaller races that exist ONLY in one spot can't, because their home will call out to them. Every race has a Spirit that supports it, and the smaller races Spirit usually lies within the land its self. Other races, like the Faeries, are directly bound to one person or thing, or a few people and things. That's why so many of them get in trouble when there is a genocide amongst said people. Had the Fae race come about in a normal manor, rather than being an accident of Verdandi, they would have been bound to their kingdoms until they spanned the universe as they do today.

The Dragon Keepers, if I remember correctly, found their Spirit and moved it into a small orb at the center of their castle- which is currently at the bottom of the sea behind their city. Oroborus has but to send a small wyrm into the halls and near to that orb, and it will call them back in the name of protectio- regardless of the fact that the orb can't actually be broken by a foreign creature. It will still see it as an invasion and call them back. They'll have little choice but to go back after that.

~+~*The windows suddenly broke inward, sending glass through the air. Nobody was injured, as the glass flew straight for Daypaw and floated around her. She had clearly not wanted to let anyone be hurt. Sol stood up then, and wandered to one of the empty frames.*~+~

Sol- They're going at it out there, and loosing.

~+~*You noted that an assortment of animals was floating lifelessly inside of a rather large violet sphere in the sky. Among them- a phoenix, a unicorn, a harpy, an owl, and Yuki's parents. Sol chuckled.*~+~

Sol- Their trap was a failure, at least. The only other person who had been planning on fighting was Ialon.

~+~*As if on que, a red dragon burst from the ground- and was promptly and easily sent up to the others by the Shadow of Chaos, as the tendrils of the shadows wrapped around it and absorbed it. You felt a chill run down your spine as you remembered that that same spell had done to K'Toni and K'Tonya.

A few of the stray tendrils from the black mass of shadow were working their way toward the bar, but Yuki pulled them back before they got dangerously close to you. The sphere in the air vanished, taking the creatures inside with it to wherever it happened to be going.*~+~

Sol- Now why the hell'd he have to go and do that? It's going to take them forever to figure out how to get out of the Star of Chaos.

~+~*She shook her head.*~+~

Oh well.... It'll do them good.....

~+~*She turned back to you.*~+~

I'm going to get out of here.... I don't want to get caught.

~+~*She promptly turned back into a snake, and went out through a window as Yuki came back in through the door. His hair was still white, but his eyes had returned to their golden color.*~+~

Yuki- ....So, anybody know why the Gate Guardians made off?
