See this? It's known as a Keeper's Stone. It is a device commonly used by the Keeping Spirits to track their prey through the different realms. With it, you can see through to any plane of existance, excluding the ones restricted to higher beings. As an Elder Gryphon, you will be able to see..... About twelve of the twenty-one realms.
The 'Etherial' is the tenth, but she is hiding in one a bit closer to this one.... Lets see..... She isn't in the spirit realm, and she isn't in the Third.... Ah, she's in the fourth.
~+~*She placed the stone on the ground, and willed it to show Re'Gan the Fourth Realm. Ikuu became clearly visible, looking somewhat similar to the night sky, a few feet beneath the surface of the ground not far from the gryphlet. She returned to the surface as Relia put the stone away.*~+~

Ardana- Wish to try for a dozen? Listen up. You can share this information with the people living here- they should know it anyway if they are messing with the Powers again. (She mumbled something about how they didn't learn their lesson the first time, and went on)
The First realm is the one that we currently exist in. It is more commonly known as the Physical plane. It is the lowest level of Realm that can constantly sustain life. Below us is the Zero World, which is basically a huge void- and beneath that is the Null World, where all life returns at the end of existance before the Realms restore themselves.
The Second Realm is more commonly known as the Spirit Realm. That is the one that your life force comes from, and it appears as a wire-frame of the current world. The light that you travel as is your life force, which glows with the colors of your personality- or, your Aura.
The Third Realm is the one that produces your emotions, and is more commonly known as the Soul Realm. For someone not naturally gifted with, or specially trained to have, an Etherial travel ability, going past this realm will cause you great harm, and will ultimately prevent you from returning to your body. You will die if you are not careful.
The Fourth is more commonly known as the Alchemy Realm. It binds most of the physical laws, such as gravity, to the other Realms beneath it. However, if you can successfully travel there, it allows you to bend some of those laws, and to transmute. Or, as with what Ikuu did, you can bend those laws further down along the line of realms, and alter your physical self. In her case, she used it to adapt to what she was touching, become a part of it, and vanish into it. People with access to this realm can change anything that they wish in this realm, but doing so takes years upon years of practice that most people never accomplish. Even immortals can't always finish.
The Fifth is the Magic Realm. It is comprised of the energies and powers that exist in the world to give us 'magic' here. It manifests physically through different means- nodes, spell spheres, crystalized energies, that sort of thing. Anyone who can use magic is connected directly to this realm.
The Sixth is the Ancient Magic. It is a higher level that was once much easier to access. Using it now is a rare gift. Also as an interesting note, traveling in either the Fifth or Sixth will allow you to see all the worlds energies. It is an amazing sight- Ikuu was bleached because she spen't too much time there.
The Seventh is the Angel Sanctuary. It is the realm on which the White Spirits, Black Spirits, et al exist. They manifest physically by sending their Spirit Forms into the First Realm.
The Eighth is the Fates Realm. There are billions of small sprites living there, which work to guide the processes of life along. They help plants to grow, help in erosion- etc etc.
The Nineth is the Sub-Etherial, where the pure magics of Light and Darkness exist. That is why power with those elements is so rare- most people can't tap into that Realm to get ahold of it.
The Tenth is the Etherial, which Ikuu is a part of. She was a very special case, in which she was born while her mother was traveling along that plane. Most children don't survive in those conditions, but Ikuu was lucky. She was born there, so that is where she exists. The Guardians that currently watch the Eyer, and the ones without names that watch the mortals, exist there as well. They have made many calls to claim Ikuu as one of them.
The Eleventh is the Time Realm. It is where the basic concepts of time exist. Time Magic is drawn from this place.
The Twelfth is the Dreamers Realm. To 'Dream' as a magical ability is not unheard of. When magic is involved, this is where you go. It closely resembles the Physical Realm, but in muted pastels and with a constant haze. You can talk to people who are long dead, relive past lives, and see what the current future holds.
The Thirteenth Realm is the Demi Deities Realm. This is where all of the demi-gods exist, though they are not directly bound to the realms beneath them.
The Fourteenth is where the True Gods exist. Like Demi-Gods, they aren't directly linked to the realms beneath them. That was a conscious CHOICE made by the original ruling gods, to prevent one being from becoming all powerful.
The Fifteenth is where the High Gods exist. These are the gods that directly govern the entire universe, though remain unseen.
The Sixteenth is the High Etherial, where Spirit Star's, Demon Star's, et al exist. They get thrown up here when they get stuch at Eternal Spires. Gate Guardian Draeven and Demon God Luce were among these people. They tend to be able to do anything they want, though one had yet to be born that had abused the power to any great extent.
The Seventeenth Realm is the Keeper's Realm. Small beings, known as Keeping Spirit's, exist here to prevent any great abuse of power down below. Basically, they track down great energy flares, and seal away the people causing them. They can also be controled, however, and convinced by greedy people in the Physical to watch certain individuals to slip up on something. Naoki had a group of these following him for quite some time.
The Eighteenth is the Crossing Realm. It serves as a gateway to block higher realms from lesser beings. All of the Sanctuaries exist on this realm, lending their power to the boundaries. The Dragon Sanctuary and the Gryphons Sanctuaries are the oldest of these. You have been to the Physical counterpart to the Gryphon's Sanctuary, yes? The True Sanctuary in which they live blows that one out of the water. They all have a physical counterpart which can serve as the gateway into the True Sanctuary. The Powers, such as Ialos, exist halfway between this realm and the Seventeenth.
The Nineteenth is the Eyerling Realm. The ONLY things existing there are Eyerlings and the Forces of Dharma, Chaos, and Balance.
The Twentyth is for the Gate Guardians, and the Eyer Gate to exist on.
And, of corse, the Twentyfirst, is where Verdandi resides.

Ikuu- Little gryphons need to understand something important- if you know your way around the world, you can think your way out of any danger. Even if it is something as simple as knowing when to give up.
