Subject: Tribute To Brig.Gen. Emilio M. Narcise, RIP
In reply to:   's message, "General Emilio Narcise of Barangay Las-ud, Tagudin, Ilocos Sur, RIP" on Thu, May 15 2014

Brig. Gen. Emilio M. Narcise was not only a courageous soldier who defended our country from the brutality of our Japanese enemies. He was also a pious man because he used to go to Church everyday wherever he went.

As Regional Commander of Region VII based in Cebu City, he would always attend the 5:00 or 5:30 AM mass at the Basilica del Sto. Nino everyday before going to work. He once told me that the Sto. Nino had been very good to him. His unwavering faith in God was so conspicuous and admirable that wherever he went he would always look for a Catholic Church where he could attend mass and pray.

He made a difference in the lives of a lot of people, too, as he always extended a helping hand to those who asked. I am one of the recipients of his innate goodness. Whenever I needed advice and help he would gladly do it.

Farewell, Uncle, the hero of Bessang Pass, thank you for your gallantry, your unsurpassable and burning love of country. Thank you for your help and everything that you have done. Your overall achievement is a feat to beat.

May Almighty God, whom you so adored in your whole life, grant you eternal rest and may His perpetual light shine upon you. REST IN PEACE, dear Uncle.
