This is good news. This has been the plan for many years but it never took off except for some minor improvements to the existing terminal. I hope this time they mean it because it has a great potential. The Ilocanos and the region as a whole are hungry for new developments. This project could help spur economic activity in the entire Ilocos region, and I believe the Ilocanos are ready for it. This would be a good complement to the soon to be opened 89 kilometer TPLEx (Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway)that ends in Rosario. It could also fast track the plan to extend the expressway to Bacnotan and possibly even to Laoag City. This would be a tremendous help for OFWs, tourists and businessmen from the area and abroad. It will be more convenient once it is completed for they will no longer need to go to Clark or Manila. I hope that they will have a ground breaking ceremony soon. -- Community Forum
