Toast To The Incoming President of SASAI, Leonard Buenavista


In its August 2013 (Aug.1-5) Annual Officers meeting held at the Saint Augustine’s School Alumni International headquarters in Cantonment, Florida, and hosted by VP-Secretary Deacon Tom Buenavista, the outgoing and incoming officers of SASAI witnessed the installation of its incoming President, CEO and Board Chairman, Leonardjon Buenavista, an engineer by profession. Leonard is from Dardarat, Tagudin Ilocos Sur, SAS alumni, currently residing in the San Francisco Bay Area, California. Outgoing President, Atty. Romeo J. Somera, Esq.,CPA, was voted in as President Emeritus. Officers who were unable to physically attend the 4 day meeting, particularly those from the Philippines and other parts of the US were able to participate in the meeting and discussions via teleconferencing. A planned celebration in honor of the first 8 SASAI scholars (from 1st year to 4th yr. high school at SAS, who are graduating from high school this school year, is in the offing. These SASAI “pioneer” scholars were sponsored by RHW Foundation, G&E Sprenger and Peter and Nora (nee Leonora Lucero from Farola) Sprenger. Including these graduating seniors, there are 26 SASAI scholars currently enrolled at SAS.
