That have happened to me! I was driving an heard a clunk and checked the car.. nothing.. same thing happend again. What happened was that the spring-housing on the struts was beeing ripped off. Third time the clunk was there it was fallowed by the strut housing was totaly ripped off. I can show you a picture of the strut when BEN is up. DO NOT drive or tow the car after the spring-housing is ripped off. Cut the ring that is on the strut (spring housing) off... if you don't you will only have one half tire left (except the other tires).
