One of the requirements for my next car is that it must have semi trailing arm suspension (which means it has to be an E30, an E36 Compact or a Z Coupe). That is what makes these cars handle so well. An E36 sedan is not nearly throttle sensitive enough for my taste, and it feels sluggish because of it.

The Porsche 911 had semi trailing arms as well.
